Can I start without signing up?
Yes. Guest mode offers text chat within service limits. Its history stays on your current device. Sign in to use files, search, voice and account data.
Do I need API keys or a ChatGPT account?
No. Cloud models are connected on the AYN KOL server. You do not enter personal API keys, and an AYN KOL account is separate from ChatGPT. Service limits and availability apply.
How does Auto work?
Auto identifies the request type and selects a compatible available model. For suitable technical errors it can try another, with a limited number of attempts. The chat shows which model answered.
What can I add to my knowledge base?
Text notes, text files, text-based PDFs and DOCX documents. Available text is extracted for analysis; scans may need OCR first. Size and format limits depend on the tool and model.
Is local mode really separate?
Yes. Local chats and memory are not sent to your cloud account. Local AI needs a downloaded GGUF model and a compatible device or browser. Cloud tools do not work offline.
How far along is AYN KOL?
The web version is available. The Android app is in development. Features depend on available models and limits. AI can make mistakes, so check important answers and sources.
